In partnership with East Coast Digital Programme, Modern Railways has recently released a supplement covering all things European Train Control System (ETCS) and its introduction on the East Coast Mainline South. The supplement not only provides information about the Programme but also elaborates on the “Partnership Approach” that ECDP adopted to successfully implement in-cab signalling on a major UK rail route. This includes quotes from Blake Jones, the Managing Director of Rail Services at Freightliner, who discusses the value of ERTMS and the collaborative culture of the Programme.
